Abstract

This article compiles the notes taken during the development of the thesis «Better than Honey, Only Heaven»: Intergenerational Trauma, Cultural complex and Resilience in an Africa Diaspora (a case-study about the Mel da Pedreira's, or Quarry's Honey, Quilombola community in Macapá, Amapá, northern state of Brazil) enriched with data from a long conversation with Antonio Maspoli de Araujo Gomes, author of the research. At first, it highlights some options of the author, and then goes through the dissertation's structure, making comments and concludes pointing out the importance of the study and the challenges it brings to the Academy.
