Gender violence against women in Judges 19 and femicide

Abstract
Gender violence needs to be tackled throughout society. The growing number of female deaths has attracted everyone's attention and can no longer be tolerated. As a result, urgent measures and in-depth studies in all areas are needed to know the genesis of the problem and find ways to solve and overcome this violence. In the religious universe such violence is also present, and is even identified with texts considered sacred by religions, such as the Bible, and has drawn the attention of biblical commentators: Judges 19, who reports the death of the Levite concubine, demanding a pressing feminist hermeneutics, aiming to abolish a patriarchal and androcentric reading that further exacerbates mistaken behaviors that are found in the biblical text to justify the dignity of the human person, in this case, women.
