Abstract

This article proposes to present the thought of Thomas Piketty in the works Capital in the 21st century (2013) and Capital and Ideology (2019). The French economist unveils the contradictions of capitalism based on extensive historical research from the French Revolution to the present day. His study points to the origin of inequality and how these are justified by ideological narratives.
